Biography: Harrison has an extensive history in sport from a young age. He has had numerous successes from captaining his local county rugby team to captaining his university football team to a cup win. But his main love in sport was boxing. He loved the competition and how the tactical game went down and at college he began to train and box amaturely. This continued into university were he also captained the boxing team to success in a the national competitions with other universities. After graduation, aged 21, Mike turned pro in order to fund his extravagant lifestyle and his goal of gaining a doctorate.
This he did by the age of twenty three. But Harrison didn't use his educational potential to gain a high flying job, or a lecturing job, instead he continued to box despite advise to change his career path. He continued to box professionally until 2007 when he retired after the birth of his first daughter with his wife Emma, aged 28. This left a void in his life that needed filling and turned his attention to a sport which he liked and had always watched when he had time - wrestling. His main problem upon starting training was he had boxed at welterweight level his whole career and spent most of his time in the gym and at home eating to put on weight, to add bulk and later turn it into muscle.
He soon enough succeeded after a few hard months and had put on nearly five stone taking him up to sixteen stone. With his body in great shape, and now being big enough to compete he continued his wrestling training and soon enough found himself on the company he trained with, under card and progressed well. He competed in Canada in the company known as eWo ran by one Cody Clark. He found his first wrestling success there, winning the companies television title by beating previously unbeaten Chris Legion in a first blood match, something that had never happened in the companies history. He then went on a long unbeaten run which was abruptly ended by a surprise defeat. This shocked Mike and he walked away embarrassed that such a thing had happened and moved to Japan to hone his skills.
He spent nearly a year in Japan wrestling up and down the country for a top promotion. He learned much from the many wrestlers, new skills, a new respect for the industry, although he soon tired of the language barrier and moved to the United States in search of a wrestling promotion which would feed his appetite for competition. He soon recognized a potential promotion based in Philadelphia and decided to try his luck there...
